Apple snail shells feature beautiful colors (oranges, greens, pastels) and patterns.  Your shell measures 1.5-2.5 inches in height.  It was sourced in South Florida along the shores of freshwater lakes and canals.  The snail was consumed by a local snail-loving bird (such as an ibis, a wren, or a limpkin) and the shell was left behind for a human collector.  This ethically-sourced shell was then sanitized before it was included in your Birdmoss Box.  Because it was collected in the wild – and because a beautiful bird was there first – your shell may have a chipped edge.
