The Box of Curiosities is a special limited-edition box from the world of Birdmoss.  It is offered separately from the monthly Birdmoss Box subscription. This collection of curated natural elements and specimens is an inspired addition to any cabinet of curiosities.  It includes:

    • An instructional document augmented with marginalia, advancing your Birdmoss story
      • Snake Skin
        • A generous portion of boa constrictor shed skin, presented in a cork-topped milk bottle
          • Owl Pellet Dissection Kit
            • Kit includes a large owl pellet, tweezers, brush, and a glass jar to display your finds.  Each pellet includes dozens of tiny bones from creatures such as mice and shrews.  The photo shows a partially-dissected pellet and all the bones we found inside
              • Mink Vertebra Display
                • A single mink neck vertebra displayed with reindeer moss in a cloche.  These bones were sourced from animal control and cleaned before I received them
                  • Iridescent Beetle Wings
                    • Ten elytra from Sternocera aequisignata beetles, presented in a cork-topped jar.  They re beautiful for display, crafts, or jewelry-making

                        • One bat nut pod, also known as a devil pod, horn nut, or water caltrops
